COVERAGE AREA OF KVK

KVK-Bastar is presently working in 38 villages of 8 blocks for different activities i.e. trainings, demonstrations, OFT's under KVK and externally funded programmes of watershed development, MGNREGA, BRGF, NABARD and NHM in association with line department for upliftment if tribal livelihood.

The villages where the KVK has focused its activities during the last 5 years are predominantly tribal villages situated in the different blocks of Bastar district. These villages are deep inside the forests. Reducing natural resources (forest and non-timber forest produce), degrading land due to high erosion, exploitation by middleman and naxal activities are seriously affecting livelihood in these villages.
